Katarina Pecić’s main scientific and research area is based on the investigation of the biological activity of various chemical compounds and natural products, with an emphasis on anticancer activity against different cancer types. The research focus is an assessment of mechanisms of anticancer action (cytotoxicity, antimigratory/antiinvasive potential, suppression of neoangiogenesis) at the gene and protein levels. Besides, a significant aspect of her research is the development and application of the zebrafish model system in toxicology investigations
