The research of Petar Stanić is focused on synthesis and characterization of potentially biologically active 2-thiohydantoin derivatives, as well as kinetics and the mechanism of their formation. Additionally, electrochemical evaluation of the compounds is done in order to determine which ones are suitable corrosion inhibitors. The synthesized compounds are also complexated with transition metal ions and the obtained complexes are characterized
